Last Friday, I wrote a post about a few of my favorite things; here’s part 2! Three more random things I love include…
My Nook
For Christmas this past year, my fiancé got me a Nook, & I love it! I love the convenience & portability of an e-reader; I’ve been able to take it with my everywhere this summer to keep myself occupied as I was forced to play the waiting game on many occasions!
Currently on my Nook? The Hunger Games & the current issue of Shape magazine!
The Kennedys
Nerd alert! Ever since a family vacation to Cape Cod in the Summer of 2006, I’ve be fascinated by the Kennedys!
My family & I were on a boat tour that took us near the Kennedy compound, & then we went to the JFK Hyannis Museum where my interest was really peaked! If you don’t know much about this family, & you’re a “history buff,” I’d suggest doing some research – there are some good stories behind this family! Here are a few pictures from our peek at the family’s land:
Obviously, they don’t let people get too close! 😉
College
I think I mentioned this in a post a while back, but I went to the University of Delaware & loved every minute of it!
Delaware was the perfect fit for me. It was close to home, but not too close. The campus is beautiful & centered around an adorable Main Street. And of course, there was lots of yummy food readily available (which I’m sure is the case at most colleges). I attended UD from 2004-2008, & was an active member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority – such a fun time!
Where did YOU go to school?
I’ll be starting my freshman year at Boston College on August 27th 🙂
Go Eagles!
Enjoy it!
I went to Boston College and loved it as well – I still want to go back!
Me too! I didn’t appreciate college life enough while I was there!
I went to Roanoke College where I was an Alpha Sigma Alpha 🙂 We’re sisters!!!!!
Ahhh that’s crazy!
Gosh, all of this Kindle love is making me re-think my firm stance against them! As a Literature professor, I just ache at the thought of losing the tangible experience of holding a book and creasing back the pages!
I went to the College of William and Mary. I loved it! I got married at the Wren Chapel on campus, where my husband proposed. We have vowed to go back every single year to visit and we do!
I love UD. I remember applying there for my Ph.D. They have an awesome English department!
I was skeptical about getting a Nook myself! I really, really like it though!
William & Mary has a beautiful campus! I visited the campus when I was on vacation in VA with my family.
I went to school at a university in Kansas…. Fort Hays State…. Yep, noone has ever heard about it, but it was GREAT! I loved college, I do wish I would have made more time for fun though. Too much studying was done… HA!
Same here!
I LOVE my nook!! 🙂
I went to school at the University of Memphis. I really miss it too, especially our basketball games. If someone wanted to pay me to go back to school I would SO do it. My dad prob wouldn’t like that idea…
Agreed! That would be awesome!
I went to Nazareth College in Rochester, New York (tiiiiny school!) and am continuing there for grad school this fall! So excited.. i love it!
Ooh good luck with grad school. I’m working on my Masters as well.
Erica!!
I came across your blog and I love it!
I love the healthy recipes!!
CONGRATS to you and Chris! Have so much fun at your wedding.
Oh yeah and the post about Delaware and ASA made me smile beyond belief!
A<3,

I’m so glad you like it Jacqui!
I miss Delaware & ASA so much; especially the house! 🙂
